Properties
Urea phosphate is colorless transparent prismatic crystal. It has a parallel layered structure, and the layers are connected by hydrogen bonds. It belongs to orthorhombic system. It is a phosphate double salt with amino structure. N content 17.0%; The content of P is 44.0%. Melting point 117 ~ 117.5 ℃; Density 1.74g/cm3.
The crystal is easily soluble in water and ethanol, but insoluble in ethers, toluene, carbon tetrachloride, etc. The aqueous solution is acidic, and the pH value of 1% aqueous solution is 1.89. The solubility at 46 ℃ is 202g / L.
The amino structure of urea phosphate determines that urea phosphate has small thermal stability, is easy to decompose when heated, and the decomposition products are different at different temperatures. With the increase of temperature, its thermal decomposition rate increases.
Urea phosphate dissolves in water and decomposes into urea and phosphoric acid, and releases a small amount of carbon dioxide and ammonia.
